Raandhal is native Malayalam term for a kerosine lamp. For the longest of time we were in a fix trying to name our restaurant. During the construction of the building, the workers came across an old rustic Raandhal [Lantern] in the construction site, probably left behind by the older generation. Though nobody paid too much heed on it, what struck ironic was it is seen by every one entered into the site, almost every where. The workers kept moving its position one place to another for convenience, and it became the most spotted item throughout the construction period. It all became clear later, that the Raandhal was a beacon of light and it felt only apt to name the restaurant after it. The one thing that was a part of its mere foundation, right from the beginning, Just like Us!
